We are delighted to bring you not 1, not even 2 or 3 but 4 new features in our latest app update: Running Economy, Form Coach, Cadence Workout and Step Length workout.
Read on to learn more about the new features, how they work together to improve your running and when you’ll be able to access them.
Running Economy measures the energy cost of your running. The higher your Running Economy, the more efficiently you’re using your energy and the better your running will be!
Improve your Running Economy and you’ll be able to run further, hold a goal pace for longer and even shave time off your PB. It’s a great indicator of how fast you could run over a goal distance, such as an upcoming race.
Form Coach works in tandem with Running Economy – the NURVV tool that shows you just how much energy you use as you run.
Form Coach shows you how to improve your Running Economy, provides the real-world performance benefits you could see and guides you through the process by creating personalised form workouts.
Cadence & step Length Workouts
Simple tweaks to your running form and could boost your running performance so you can run further, faster and longer.
Two common areas where runners can improve are Cadence (the number of steps you take each minute as you run) and Step Length (the length of each step you take). Which is why we designed our Cadence and Step Length workouts.
Putting it all together
This app update is centred around the key performance indicator Running Economy. By monitoring this new metric, you’ll be able to learn how efficiently you’re using energy. If you want to improve both your Running Economy and your running performance, Form Coach has everything you need. With the introduction of our Cadence and Step Length workouts, we now have coached, progressive form workouts for all the form factors you might work on to improve your Running Economy, so however you choose to progress your running, NURVV Run has you covered!
When can I access the update?
The latest app update will be available in the App Store now for our iOS users, and will come to Play Store for Android next month.
